Matthew 18:21-22 KJV
Then came Peter to Him, and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."

As hard as it is, we are called to forgive. Sometimes we're not quite ready to forgive someone who's wronged us. We want some time to stew on it, thinking of w3ays we can take revenge, or even hope something bad happens to them. It takes a lot of time and effort to not forgive. Unforgiveness can consume our time and thoughts causing bitterness, anger and rage. Then before we know it, we begin to suck others into it with slander and gossip.

Eph 4:31-32 tells us to "get rid of all these feelings, be kind, compassionate and forgive each other just as God in Christ forgave you." When we put things into perspective, God loves the other person you need to forgive just as much as He loves you. That's why He sent His son to pay the penalty for our sins.

Not only are we to forgive, but we're supposed to love them too! When we finally do decide to forgive and love, it's so freeing to let the burden go.

We all are in need of forgiveness and we all have people we need to forgive. God commands us to forgive. We can ask Him to  help us learn how to love our enemies, neighbors, and family, enabling us to enjoy the freedom of peace, compassion, mercy and grace that come with forgiveness.

Mission Needs 

  1. Food: hamburger, chicken, eggs, casseroles that we can freeze. (Please understand that we cannot take food items that are expired)
  2.  New flooring for our Dorm area and bath $7300.
  3. We need 2 cords of firewood to top us off for this upcoming cold season.
  4. Attic insulation for all three buildings $1500 per building ($4500). This would help us tremendously in our energy costs.
  5. Prayer for our guests and our ability to share the Gospel.
  6. Meals.

Prayer and Praises

  1.  Pray for patience as our Laundry room and dorm bathroom are out of commission. The men will have to do their laundry elsewhere.
  2. Pray for our guests as they hear God's Word and that they be willing to surrender to Him. 
  3. We are always thankful for those who share in this ministry: your prayers and donations. Both are very important to the ministry of the Bonner Gospel Mission.
  4. Thankful for this past Memorial day as we remember those who gave their lives for our freedom.
  5. We now have some new bed frames and mattresses! 
Mission Update

 With the sale of our mission truck and the blessing of your support we are finally able to start some our much needed maintenance projects. We have started the renovation of our Dorm laundry/bathroom area, clothing room, and landscaping/yard maintenance.

Opposition When the Enemy is upset, we must be doing something right. Our mission made headlines this month because an anthropologist, who was formerly a member of the mission, was appointed to a high position in the government organization that oversees indigenous affairs. Particularly, he was put over the section that deals with uncontacted tribes. This sparked outrage in the media and digging up all the past garbage they could on the mission: some true, some half true, and some false. A "Hairy" Experience "Suddenly, there was a piercing pain like someone jabbed my heel with a needle," Rachel recounts. It was our first night in a local Portuguese-speaking community's church near the village, where Ed was invited to teach. Rachel looked around for the culprit that bit her as she was getting up from kneeling during prayer time. Later, she spotted a large hairy spider and had the lady in the next pew get rid of it. It wasn't until we were getting out of our boat at our village that she told me about her arachnid encounter. When we got home, she had me use our retrofitted stun gun to zap the bite several times. She says it helped with the pain. By the next day, she said the bite wasn't bothering her much anymore.  our hope in uncertain times... “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13 It was the 5th of February when we received another call to search for another local fisherman... We hoped that our newest pilot, who was on his way from Germany with his family, would not be held up at a transiting airport as they journeyed to Palau. Our last sea search occurred at the beginning of December. It was the 5th of February when we received another call to search for another local fisherman. Oddly, he had gone missing in nearly the same location as the last lost fisherman. This time I flew with only one passenger. His name was Ishmael and he was the Marine Law officer who was sent to assist in the search. Again, the man had been missing for nearly 24 hrs before we were notified.
